„Barter Capital“ is created by selling goods or services to other companies that previously agreed on a barter settlement if the barter capital was generated in accordance with the rigid statutory accounting requirements of the International Accounting Standards (IAS).

The barter capital of the BAFICO originates from sales contracts which already have been fulfilled. According to the IAS standards barter capital is a fully valuable asset which can be incorporated into a balance sheet. 

 

The German company BAFICO Finance GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of the BAFICO Holding Corporation, was set up with barter capital from the BAFICO Venture Capital Finance Group and has been recorded in the German Commercial Registry. The local Court has verified the barter capital and has recognized it as corporate venture capital.
